Do you like figuring out how things work and then finding the best way to explain it to others? Do you take pride in your writing skills and ability to hit deadlines? LCS is seeking a Technical Writer who will contribute to the publication and maintenance of documentation for a variety of LCS products, including the help file for our flagship product Rent Manager and internal resources for employees. In this role you will synthesize complex concepts and procedures into user-friendly documentation that supports training for employees and customers, as well as allows for comprehensive use of LCS products.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate, clear, and concise content that describes how LCS products work.
• Use style guidelines and documented procedures to develop content according to team and LCS standards.
• Create screenshots, diagrams, and charts as needed.
• Research new product features and updates through hands-on testing and interviewing internal subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Edit and proofread documentation for team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or 4+ years of content-driven experience
• Excellence in conveying complex concepts into terms easily understood
• Impeccable attendance and personal accountability
• Basic understanding of accounting concepts
• Knowledge of common property management practices
• Experience using Madcap Flare
