Position Overview:
This is a full-time technology support position whose focus is assisting faculty with course deliverables and students with technology issues. This position works collaboratively with the director of instructional design and other relevant stakeholders to effectively implement academic programs in a way that facilitates learner engagement and success.

Essential job functions:
  • Collaborate with members of the Office of Academic Affairs-FW to provide support for health science and pharmacy academic programs.
  • Provide implementation support for instruction by leveraging learning management system (LMS) technology. This includes, but is not limited to, setting up quizzes, assignments and content in the University's learning management system (Canvas) and exams in ExamSoft.
  • Collaborate with director of instructional design and faculty to build and update course content within Canvas.
  • Contribute to various projects related to new program development, special academic programming, academic program assessment and reporting, course delivery, instruction and instructional technology support.
  • In collaboration with the director of instructional design, act as support for faculty and students who have questions or issues related to the use of academic technology (e.g., Canvas, Microsoft Office products, Poll Everywhere, YuJa, Teams).
  • Assist with course content preparation and LMS technology support and training.
  • In collaboration with director of assessment, act as support for faculty and students who have questions or issues related to ExamSoft/Examplify.
  • In collaboration with the Office of Assessment, assist with assessment process (e.g., course review process).
  • Provide exam-day technical support for students, both on-campus and online.

Secondary job functions:
  • Serve as a member of committees at the campus, College, University as required.
  • Collaborate with director of instructional design and leadership team to determine scope and availability to provide administrative support for faculty and program needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A commitment to fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar work environment, preferably in higher education with an understanding of various learning theories, including Universal Design for Learning, and ADA-compliance requirements.
  • Must be highly self-directed, well-organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable completing tasks with minimal direct supervision
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong Word, Excel and Outlook skills. Experience with learning management systems, such as Blackboard and Canvas, is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess the ability to multitask and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously while completing assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Close proofreading skills and a high degree of accuracy are required.

Work schedule:
This is an exempt, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be required.
