SFS is looking for a Technology Support Specialist to support their client located in Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville PA. This is a current ongoing contract and the position is needed ASAP. Qualified applicants must be able to be cleared to receive DOD Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a Security + certification within 6 months of employment at company expense.

The Technology Support Specialist is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and patching analog/digital/VOIP endpoint devices, configuring and resetting voicemail systems, and providing end-user and end-customer support as needed. The TM supports projects involving system migrations and implementations and troubleshoots these systems. The TM also will provide support for Tier I audio/visual issues as well as be able to work with a 3rd party to address escalated (Tier II and Tier III) maintenance issues. The TM provides audio/visual conferencing for ISDN/IP platforms and works with conferencing and protocols technologies (H.323, H.320, SIP, H.264, etc.)

Nature of Assignment:

Knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Understanding of Cisco/Tandberg conferencing products
- Understanding of and ability to install and operate telecommunications equipment including scheduling audio/video conferences and coordinating the maintenance of this equipment

Training & Certifications:
- Must have Security+ certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Guidelines (level of supervision required to perform):
Must be able to work in both a group setting and individually within the framework established by the supervisor and/or customer.

Complexity of tasks/responsibilities:
- Must be able to identify and analyze technical problems with customer telecommunication systems and work to solve the problem
- Must be able to work in a group setting

- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills

- Must have the ability and willingness to learn multiple skill sets

Work Scope (Duties & Responsibilities):
- Support the customer by performing updates, upgrades, maintenance, and management of - telecommunications systems
- Analyze system malfunctions and implement corrective actions
- Provide technical briefings and instruction for users of telecommunications systems

- Assist with completing contract deliverables and reports as needed by providing ticket resolution and system data

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must be able to read and write effectively in English.

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

  • Must be able to work under supervision and respond appropriately and professionally to criticism from a supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in telecommunications technology, engineering, video/audio conferencing, business, or other related discipline; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 4 years desired in administering and maintaining telecommunications systems, analog/digital/VOIP, Avaya products (including Communication Manager, Communication Messaging Manager, Session Manager, System Manager, System Border Controller, Edge Border Control) and services relating to the telecommunications field including maintenance, troubleshooting, and ticket management.
  • The ideal candidate will have basic experience with installing, configuring, operating and maintaining audio/visual systems.
  • Experience with Classroom XXI highly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.44 - $28.85 per hour
