Job Duties:
- Provides direct service to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
- Completes intake and assessment, providing complete and accurate information necessary for treatment and billing.
- Designs and implements treatment plans that promote healthy attachment, self-regulation, independence, impulse control, decision-making skills, and social responsibility/empathy.
- Works collaboratively with other team members who are supporting the clients including but not limited to education, physicians, etc.
- Provides telephone counseling for emergencies both during office hours and outside of office hours for clients.
- Attends monthly staff meetings and individual or group supervision as required for your licensure track.
Requirements:
- Must possess a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Licensed clinicians preferred (LCSW, LPC, LSW, LMFT, LAC).
- Two or more years of experience in counseling adults and/or children.
- Three or more years of experience in mental health.
- Be able to work remotely in New Jersey via Telehealth appointments.
- Experience in providing treatment to individuals with serious emotional problems.
- Ability to effectively use DSM.
- Ability to make sound clinical judgments and to follow and give complex directions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Special consideration is given to candidates who:
- Have an understanding of child development, as well as individual and family functioning.
- Have experience in providing child abuse treatment.
- Have background and experience in expressive/art therapy and/or play therapy (filial, therapy, child-centered, PCIT, MIM relationship assessment, DIR Floortime, TFCBT, PCRT, ACT, Ecosystemic).
- Have experience in marriage and family counseling.
- Are bilingual.
All positions also require the following skills:
- Good computer skills; familiarity with smartphone applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- Knowledge and sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as assessments and procedure manuals.
- Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
- Must comply with all HIPAA (confidentiality) laws as it relates to Protected Health Information.
- Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and a self-starter.
- Must be creative, enthusiastic, and a team player.
