Telehealth Outpatient Therapist (PT) - REMOTE

Job Duties:
  • Provides direct service to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
  • Completes intake and assessment, providing complete and accurate information necessary for treatment and billing.
  • Designs and implements treatment plans that promote healthy attachment, self-regulation, independence, impulse control, decision-making skills, and social responsibility/empathy.
  • Works collaboratively with other team members who are supporting the clients including but not limited to education, physicians, etc.
  • Provides telephone counseling for emergencies both during office hours and outside of office hours for clients.
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and individual or group supervision as required for your licensure track.

Requirements:
  • Must possess a master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensed clinicians preferred (LCSW, LPC, LSW, LMFT, LAC).
  • Two or more years of experience in counseling adults and/or children.
  • Three or more years of experience in mental health.
  • Be able to work remotely in New Jersey via Telehealth appointments.
  • Experience in providing treatment to individuals with serious emotional problems.
  • Ability to effectively use DSM.
  • Ability to make sound clinical judgments and to follow and give complex directions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Special consideration is given to candidates who:
  • Have an understanding of child development, as well as individual and family functioning.
  • Have experience in providing child abuse treatment.
  • Have background and experience in expressive/art therapy and/or play therapy (filial, therapy, child-centered, PCIT, MIM relationship assessment, DIR Floortime, TFCBT, PCRT, ACT, Ecosystemic).
  • Have experience in marriage and family counseling.
  • Are bilingual.

All positions also require the following skills:
  • Good computer skills; familiarity with smartphone applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
  • Knowledge and sensitivity to cultural differences.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as assessments and procedure manuals.
  • Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
  • Must comply with all HIPAA (confidentiality) laws as it relates to Protected Health Information.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and a self-starter.
  • Must be creative, enthusiastic, and a team player.
