Responsibilities for the Temporary Accounting Clerk position include but are not limited to:
Job Summary:
Responsible for processing cattle payments, freight payable processing and general accounts payable processing.
Essential Functions:
- Daily, accurate, and timely cattle payment processing
- Enter freight payables and select for payment weekly
- Frequent contact with cattle suppliers and buyers to ensure payment issues are resolved appropriately
- Must always follow packers and stockyard regulations
- Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
- Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
- Enter invoices for payment
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate for the Temporary Accounting Clerk position should possess the following:

High school diploma required minimum, Associates or higher preferred

Preferred two (2) years basic accounting experience

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information while meeting stringent deadlines

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel)
