Industrial Sales Representative Description

Our client in industrial solutions is looking for an Industrial Sales Representative to add to their team in the Southwest territory in Georgia. You will be responsible for calling on current customers and prospecting for new business by identifying sales opportunities, assist in determining customer needs, prepare and follow up on quotes, and increase product/company awareness to meet or exceed sales targets. Our client is looking for someone with prior experience or knowledge with industrial/commercial compressed air or pumps. No prior sales experience required; training provided as well as existing accounts. To be successful, you must be a disciplined self-starter with a strong attention to detail. This is a lucrative opportunity to sell products with a wide range of applications and that has proven to withstand recessions.

Industrial Sales Representative Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities with current customers, assessing needs or upcoming projects
  • Prospect for new business and sales opportunities
  • Coordinate and organize meetings with clients to discover their application needs
  • Create and prepare quotes for clients based on discussed needs
  • Recommend the best product for the client or product selection
  • Record all calls, visit, quotes, contacts, and activities in the CRM system
  • Follow up on all leads, quotes, orders, and service needs within territory
  • Assist in collecting accurate equipment information for quoting, ordering, and follow up
  • Assist accounting with invoice and payment follow up
  • Determine all decision-making individuals in the buying/purchasing chain
  • Evaluate and determine competitors and their strengths within territory

Industrial Sales Representative Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial/commercial compressed air or pumps required
  • Mechanical aptitude, such as troubleshooting or part selection required
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite products required
  • Driver’s license with reliable personal vehicle required
  • Willingness/able to travel within territory required
