Tool and Die Maker II - 2nd Shift

Your Key Responsibilities
- Assembles and manufactures series of product samples, prototypes, tools or systems in specified time, according to work plans, work orders and specifications.
- Recognizes and decodes construction plans, all relevant drawings and work orders, in cooperation with the team.
- Ensures availability of material parts and resources needed to accomplish own assignment.
- Prepares all relevant tools, machines and parts according to the defined sample plans, produces and/or assembles series of parts, components, products, systems or tools.
- Performs sight checks, functionality or quality test routines, and takes over respective documentation.
- Supports and cooperates with accountable Project Manager or Engineers in the analyses of samples.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of CNC grinding experience
- Excellent CNC grinding (ID & OD) and measurement skills.
- Manual lathe, mill, drill, and surface grinder experience.
- Ability to select, mount, attach, and calibrates a variety of machining attachments.
- Ability to machine angles, contours, lines, spheres, etc.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Flexibility and creativity required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology (machine tool curriculum) or formal Apprenticeship.
- Possesses a diverse background in manufacturing, R&D, machine shop, and quality.
- Ability to identify potential design or manufacturing problems.
- Proficient with a variety of machine tools, including, lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
- Proficient with the use of both metric and standard measurement systems
- Proficient in the use of precision gauging

- Salary range: $27.25 – $30.65
- Shift Premium: 12%
- Hiring Bonus: $1,000 after initial period
