R.J. Corman Railroad Company has a need for a FRA Track Inspector for our short line in Raleigh, NC area. This individual will safely inspect rails, ties, roadbed and switches in accordance with FRA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Work in conjunction with the Track Supervisor to install and repair railroad track and complete other projects as needed.
• Operate machinery in order to adequately inspect the track.
• Complete all required documentation.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Railroad experience preferred.
• Perform tasks associated with track work including but not limited to: pulling and driving spikes, replacing ties, surfacing track, changing rail, bars, and other track apparatus.

Job Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Track Inspector / Foreman.
• Ability to pass railroad safety test and training.
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and supervisors.
• Ability to operate power tools.
