What you'll do:
As a Service Shop Mechanic / Technician you play a crucial role in performing maintenance and repair on our trucks and trailers to ensure we remain the safest OTR fleet in the country. Safety, accuracy and attention to detail are critical in these roles, so we make sure you’re well-equipped with the most up-to-date technology, tools, and equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment
- Ensures fleet equipment is compliant and repaired according to DOT regulations
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Performed additional duties as assigned.
Walmart’s Diesel Technicians are offered:
- *Additional shift times/days may be available dependent on shop availability.
- 4 days with 10 hour shifts

Minimum Qualifications
Service Shop Repair Technician (Tech 2) will require the following minimum qualifications.
- 2 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
- Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.
Service Shop Technician III (Tech 3) will require the following minimum qualifications.
- 3 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair to include advanced diagnostics.
- 1 years’ experience in HVAC and diagnostics.
- Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25.
- Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.16.
