We’re looking for a transition operations specialist to join our ranks! Do you have an unwavering attention to service and impressive problem-solving skills? We seek a top-notch onboarding operations specialist to add to our team, which supports new advisors and their staff during the pivotal time when they move their financial advisory firm to Commonwealth. Simply put, we are in the business of making great first impressions that lead to lasting relationships.
As an onboarding operations specialist, you will serve as a contact and resource to prospective and new advisors transitioning to Commonwealth. You will also work with a number of liaisons in every department helping to answer questions, resolving problems and doing whatever it takes to facilitate the transition process.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving as the primary contact for new advisors regarding all operations-related issues
- Delivering comprehensive phone, virtual, and in-person education on Commonwealth’s systems to new advisors and their staff members
- Working closely with teammates and other departments to trouble shoot and find solutions in order to facilitate a smooth and successful transition
- Providing best practices for operations processing and procedures
- Traveling to new offices to assist in creating office efficiencies and providing hands-on training during an advisor’s first 3months
- Managing and leading departmental projects, as needed

- Strong technical skills in Excel, Word, and database tools
- First-rate problem-solving ability

- Patient and supportive demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks at a time and navigate competing priorities
- Strong professional communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
- 1–2 years of experience in the securities or insurance industries
- FINRA Series 7 securities registration preferred
- Willingness to travel (up to 30 percent) required
