Rapidly growing Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) company is looking for a Drivers to transport clients in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. Part time and full time positions available. Looking for individuals who are reliable, energetic and customer oriented. We have an excellent team and even better clientele. Driver will transport clients in wheelchairs and on stretchers to and from their medical appointments, hospital discharges, etc. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you don’t need to have a car; you will drive one of the companies sedans and/or transit van. We primarily service Hernando and Pasco county but may be asked to travel to other locations. Willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.
• Follow schedule, GPS, other company provided apps and regularly report to dispatch.
• Collect payments and issue receipts.
• Assist clients door to door, load and unload both clients and their belongings.
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Complete all required docs and maintenance records accurately and clearly.
• At least 25 years old per our insurance requirements.
• A valid driver’s license
• A clean driving record and background check!!
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift (up to 70lbs) or carry, push and pull people in wheelchairs and stretchers.
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A high school diploma
• PREFERRED: CPR/First Aid cert, and other NEMT required certifications. EMT/EMS/CNA experience is a PLUS!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
