Transportation Facility Coordinator

Established in 1949, Shepherd Oil Company operates more than 60 trucks throughout Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas with supply from terminals throughout the Midwest.
The Transportation Facility Coordinator will be located at our repair facility in Ponca City, OK. This individual will be responsible for the professional and administrative functions within our Transportation division. The best suited individual will be proficient in typing, computer programs such as excel and have great communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers and mechanics to schedule repairs and maintenance for fleet trucks
  • Maintain work orders for timely repairs of fleet trucks and review corresponding parts invoices
  • Review parts invoices, from vendors, to ensure correct and best prices
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, complete inventory purchases and track orders
  • Maintain core return list, ensure timely core returns and core refunds
  • Supervise the purchase, maintenance, distribution and collection in the transportation employee’s uniform program
  • Maintain road safety inspection records, DOT registration numbers and other records to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
  • Organize and maintain driver files
  • Other duties may be assigned
Experience:
  • Experience required: at least 2 years.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Detail oriented with the ability to learn new methods and technologies easily.
  • Extensive computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to handle and resolve challenging problems.
  • Excellent technical and communication skills.
  • Clear communication style and unquestioned integrity and personal values.
  • Results oriented team player, with drive and enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

  • Pay range of $45k - $55k / year, DOE.
  • Expected workweek of 40-45 hours, with a base schedule of M-F 8a-5p.
