Kinsley Materials is seeking an experienced and well-rounded Trucking Services Employee Relations Manager for our growing team in York, PA. The Trucking Services Employee Relations Manager will develop and maintain working relationships with truck driver employees. Main responsibilities include reflecting a positive representation of Kinsley Materials and effectively communicate and investigate driver needs with confidence and professionalism. Truck driver employees will report directly to the Trucking Services Employee Relations Manager.
A successful candidate should obtain previous employee relations management experience, excellent conflict resolutions skills, and strong verbal and attentive communication skills. TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Interact with truck driver employees in effort to support their daily tasks and assist with any interruptions that may occur; moral support duties include:
- Mental, emotional and personal support
- Sense of purpose

- Reinforcement of company culture and values
- Vital link between employees and management
- Respond to, manage and resolve conflicts or areas of improvement as required
- Acknowledge, investigate and act as a point of contact for employee concerns and issues
- Build, maintain and develop strong working relationships with truck driver employees
- Communicate, reinforce and understand company policies and procedures thoroughly and accurately in daily driver interactions
- Assist with updating and developing driver policies and processes as needed
- Identify risks and challenges that may occur in the employee and leadership relationship
- Assist with the recruiting process of new truck driver employees by conducting interviews, providing guidance and mentoring
- Focus on the development and improvement of the employee experience by establishing a conflict resolution process, grievance handling and policy development
- Assist in the preparation of daily delivery schedule for drivers when needed
- Perform other related duties to managing drivers and building morale for the Materials team
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in employee relations management is highly preferred
- Ability to handle situations with patience, enforce willpower and compromise when appropriate
- Knowledge of concrete/commercial truck driving is a plus
- Excellent verbal and attentive communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and clean MVR record
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred
