Nationwide, remote - Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Administrator

The ND Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has created a new position to lead the development of the Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) program for nursing facilities to ensure criteria is met in order to maintain federal funding.

As Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Administrator, you will develop and maintain data collection processes, calculation spreadsheets, and internal and external reports for nursing facility quality measures. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll set up reporting, data and metrics, calculate payments, follow-up on the mechanism for payment as well as keep up on trends for nursing facilities. You will ensure the VBP program meets all elements required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and any state laws. You will use your leadership and relationship skills to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a broad range of entities with diverse interests. Additionally you will operate daily in Microsoft Excel using advanced features and functionality to provide reliable, current and accurate information in order to make decisions regarding value-based purchasing business direction and policy decisions.

To succeed in this position, you are comfortable functioning alone as well as within a team. You should understand and have a commitment to the principles of value-based purchasing. You should be agile, respect differences in opinion and values, as well as be able to plan and manage complex tasks to achieve project outcomes in a timely manner. You should be able to convey ideas and facts orally and in writing using language the audience will best understand.

To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and a minimum of three years of related experience involving leadership of a purchasing program.

Location: ND DHHS utilizes a blended workplace model. Depending on the role, employees may work from home, onsite or both. This position may work from home anywhere in U.S. with a willingness to travel for team meetings and to service delivery sites as needed.
