Rapidly growing animal hospital in Shoreline looking for a rock star veterinary assistant to help grow our team. The qualified applicant will be a team player, an excellent communicator, and motivated. The Vet assistant's primary responsibility is to support the Doctors and Certified Veterinary Technicians in medical tasks.

We are able to adapt to different situations and distribute staff as needed. We love to see interesting cases and more critical cases to help as many pets as possible. I would describe Shoreline Central as more of an urgent care, we offer same day for more critical pets as well as general wellness. You are able to have a balance between a GP and an ER

Duties include but are not limited to,

• Assisting doctors with exams and procedures.
• Restraining animals safely.
• Running lab work.
• Assisting with surgeries/sedated patients.
• Creating estimates for treatments .
• Answering phones and scheduling appointments.
• Answering common client questions.
• Answering emails, filing out medical documents.
• Assisting and performing venipuncture and IV catheters
• Technical knowledge of basic treatments and procedures
• Communicating medications/procedures with clients in a way they understand

Our hospital is fully equipped with in-house lab equipment, ultrasound, and a full dental suite with digital dental radiographs. The highest quality of patient care and customer service are provided. We provide a wide variety of surgical services. From spays/neuters to orthopedic and emergency surgery, and everything in-between!

Requirements:

· 1 year of previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred

· Must be able to work evening hours some shifts till 7pm-8pm, Monday through Saturday.

· The ability to stand on your feet for extended periods is required.

· Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
