OrlandoVets is seeking a Veterinary Technician at our Corrine Driveand MaitlandAnimal Hospital locations with an opportunity to earn $17-20/hr. Veterinary Technicians serve an integral role in our hospital's success by assisting veterinarians in treating our patients in appointments, surgery, and hospital treatments, and helping us build lasting partnerships with our clients. OrlandoVets is comprised of four growing, privately owned veterinary hospitals based in Central Florida offering team members flexible scheduling, growth opportunities, and a fun place to work!

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of Veterinary Technician experience
• A genuine desire and drive to make people’s day as great as possible
• A commitment to high quality patient care and an appreciation for the human-animal bond
• CVT, or equivalent credentials preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in animal restraint, phlebotomy, anesthesia and surgical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal skills including working in a team environment
• Handling difficult situations including emergencies
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-mail, and AVImark experience a plus)
• Strong organizational skills with ability to balance priorities and attend to details
• Typing skills (accuracy)
• Basic foundation of veterinary medical terminology and preventative care
