Overview:

The Vice President of Sales Operations will serve in an executive leadership role launching and then overseeing the Sales Operations department. The objective of the Sales Operations department is to drive improved sales generation and revenue performance through the implementation and oversight of sales enablement platforms, performance tracking dashboards and other tools, programs and processes that support the sales and account management performance across Naylor’s portfolio. As the launch executive, the role will include building a team and establishing the standard processes of the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and refine standard operating procedures and work product of the department
  • Finalize job descriptions and hire, manage and develop department personnel
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of Salesforce and Naylor’s product and services
  • Build strong relationships with Sales Leadership and other key internal partners/customers, including the Executive Team, IT, FP&A and Marketing
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams on data governance to strengthen the integrity of our sales performance dashboards
  • Work with Sales Management and IT to monitor and improve utilization of Salesforce CRM and recommend updates to CRM design to support sales team operations
  • Work with Sales Leadership and the Executive Team in the creation and ongoing refinement of performance dashboards, ensuring KPIs are clearly defined and consistently tracked
  • Oversee association opportunity review, proposal creation and contract management processes
  • Seek and propose improvements in Naylor sales and sales management processes and tools that will increase profitable sales
  • Work with Sales Leadership, Finance and Senior Management to refine/improve sales forecasting and pipeline management to improve and streamline weekly and monthly revenue forecasting
  • In collaboration with Marketing and Sales Leadership, set standard lead generation and scoring processes, and establish sales team expectations in working new leads
  • Assist HR and Sales Leadership with the refinement of the on-boarding and training process for new sales personnel regarding CRM and other sales enablement tools and performance tracking dashboards
  • Optimize the responsibilities and team members of the Sales Operations department in support of the Senior Management Team’s key initiatives and priorities as they evolve
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant work experience in sales and/or sales operations roles that required attention to detail and excellent customer service, project management and supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to see the “big-picture,” while being well versed in the specifics of day-to-day sales operations and systems
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to work effectively independently, contribute as a member of the senior management team and to develop and maintain productive relationships internal relationships
  • Strong mentorship skills, being able to share information and educate others
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn and utilize a variety of software tools including but not limited to Microsoft 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), Salesforce, Domo and Slack
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and manage time well
  • Great attitude and ability to excel in a team environment; must support and exemplify a commitment Naylor’s Core Values
