We're looking for someone to join our team as a Volunteer Coordinator who:
Maintains responsibility for volunteer service activities provided to patients/families in individual units. Facilitates community awareness and supports volunteer programs. Processes and interviews all volunteer applicants. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact.
Essential Functions:
- Guides a team, assigns resources, monitors work, develops and administers schedules, and oversees achievement of performance requirements. Coordinates volunteer schedules to ensure volunteer shifts are adequately covered. Adjusts daily work assignments to meet the demands of the department. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Applies substantial knowledge and experience to perform a wide range of advanced activities and/or determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals; serves as working supervisor for team or work group. Coordinates and oversees volunteer events and activities, including recognition events. Maintains a safe environment for volunteers and customers.
- Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group such as coordinating work activities, monitoring adherence to schedules and reporting resource issues. Manages volunteers on all Ministry campuses. Promotes volunteerism and resolves volunteer concerns and issues.
- Provides day-to-day process and people management. Conforms to all safety rules, and uses all appropriate safety equipment. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact. Participates in the preparation of the department budget.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
Education:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree in healthcare or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Work Experience:
- Five years relevant experience: Preferred
