The role:

VP of Sales will be responsible for the new customer acquisition and renewals of our targeted territory accounts. They will work with the outbound sales development and inbound marketing teams on lead generation and also partner with Solutions Insights and Customer Success to execute against company ARR and NRR targets. The role will be a vocal leader helping shape an industry leading category around predictive automation and insights.

What you will be doing:

The VP of Sales will hire and build a team of Account Executives and Account Managers across the geography, covering prospects and customers across the territory plan. This means identifying world-class talent, motivating and inspiring a team, building a strong team culture, and ultimately coaching and driving your team to hit company sales targets.

  • Lead an established Enterprise Sales team
  • Grow and nurture talent to meeting our growth and expansion targets for the team
  • Build and manage a pipeline of business sufficient to cover quota
  • Drive strong internal collaboration with Recruiters, Customer Success, Solutions Insights, Marketing, and Product teams
  • Create and deliver a strong value narrative helping our customers understand the ROI and impact from Black Swan Data platform engagement
  • Pitch and demo Black Swan Data for Marketing, Insights and Innovation executives in multiple capacities
  • Maintain Executive Buyer (EB) relationship while multi-threading into other key executives across the C-Suite
  • Contribute to the overall success of Black Swan Data sales team by sharing best practices, helping teammates when needed and embodying our culture and values
  • Accurately forecast and apply discipline around data hygiene for ops.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team of sellers
  • 10+ years of field selling experience; ideally at a blue-chip Enterprise SaaS company with insights and product research as part of solution
  • Strong appetite for finding new business with a disciplined process
  • Understanding of subscription business models including SaaS, PaaS, and freemium
  • Business savvy to work with marketing, product, and customer success leaders
