Founder, Thomas Somerville, opened the National Brass Works in northwest Washington, D.C. in 1861. Today, Thos. Somerville Company is a distributor of plumbing and HVAC equipment and supplies, operating 21 branches and 6 showrooms in 5 states and the District of Columbia.
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our York, PA team. As a warehouse associate and backup driver, you will be responsible for pulling orders, putting away stock, keeping the warehouse clean and making deliveries when necessary.
Additional job responsibilities include (but not limited to):
· Work at a quick pace to complete daily tasks
· Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment
· Assist our receiving department on occasion
· Notify appropriate personnel of inventory shortages
· Put freight away in assigned areas
· Push/pull 150 lbs or lift & carry 80 lbs
· Load & unload materials efficiently and responsibly
· Communicate essential information to other Somerville Employees
Qualifications:
· Positive attitude

· Strong communication skills
· Computer literate
· Physically able to bend, lift, reach and be on feet for entire shift
· Detail-oriented

· Willingness to work overtime
