We are mixing up something new in Lawrence, KS. This is an exciting time to join our team. Pretzels, Inc just joined Hershey Salty Snacks and we are looking to grow. We are hiring for forklift drivers. Previous experience required.
We have over 40 years of experience in making pretzels and delivering high quality snacks to consumers.
Pay:
- Starting at $19.00/hr, overnight shift has $1/hr shift differential
- Pay increase to $20.00/hr after 180 days

Shifts:
- Training will begin in June, during the day
- Move to shift in July, starting with 4 days on and 3 days off
- Schedule will be 2-2-3, every other weekend- TBD
- Day and Night shifts available
- 12 hours shifts, 6am- 6pm or 6pm-6am

Job Summary
Responsible for staging, loading, and unloading finished product and raw materials as well as, stocking and maintaining warehouse inventory

- Safely operate all Material Handling Equipment and perform the necessary safety checks prior to operating
- Always maintain food safety awareness and immediately report any issues to management
- Receive material in from vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly
- Verify the quantity, lot, and description of materials received by checking against the packing list and/or Bill of Lading (report/record any discrepancies)
- Perform all necessary inspections and verifications
- Make all necessary transactions within EPICOR to ensure inventory accuracy and lot control is always maintained
- Comprehend data entry into EPICOR and databases
- Comprehend the reading of shipping & receiving documents, gauges, schedules, and dispatches
- Accurate and timely staging of finished goods and raw materials
- Generate all necessary shipping documents via EPICOR
- Check shipping documents for accuracy prior to making copies for the driver
- Clean and maintain work area per the daily checklist and master sanitation schedule (MSS). Update/initial checklist and schedule as completed
- Documentation must be legible and accurate
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees
- Create a positive work environment for co-workers and customers
- Other duties as assigned
Relationships/Contacts
• Communicate to customers, drivers, dispatchers, etc. via in-person, at window, or by phone in a positive tone

Qualifications
- Forklift certification, M.H.E. Certification.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
- Previous forklift experience- Sit down
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
