Purpose
To bag beans at the facility and load/unload trucks and rail cars

Duties
Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Work as directed by management in the bagging operation which includes:

o Operating a bagging line
o Stacking bags and pallets, up to 100 lbs, in specified configurations
o Operating a forklift and stretch wrapper
o Verifying at regularly scheduled intervals that package weights are accurate
o Control Point Monitoring and recording metal detector and magnet findings

• Work as directed by management in the truck loading operation which includes:

o Inspecting outbound trucks for sanitation and structural integrity, recording and documenting
o Ensuring outbound trucks are properly sealed
o Verifying and recording accuracy of packaging and amount of shipment

• Assist the Processor as needed
• Completing assigned cleaning and maintenance activities
• Responsibility to proactively offer facility and system improvement
• Responsibility to be actively involved and participate in the safety program
• Responsibility of reporting any issues involving sanitation, food safety and quality issues to management
• If appointed as Food Safety Team Leader for your location, the following responsibilities are assigned:

o Acting as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (as required by FSMA) by overseeing the formation and implementation of an FDA compliant Food Safety Plan
o Managing the food safety team and organizing its work
o Ensuring the food safety team receives relevant training
o Ensuring the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained and updated
o Report to the organization’s top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system

• In the absence of the Food Safety Team Leader, the Alternate will assume the responsibilities of the Food Safety Team Leader
• Perform other duties as required

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work weekdays as long as required and weekends when required
• Ability to accurately record required data on forms

Physical Demands
Physically able to perform all requirements including but not limited to:

• Ability to walk stairs and climb up and down bulk rail cars during the course of their shift
• Standing and walking for several hours for an extended period of time
• General cleaning, maintenance, and repair
• Ability to bag up to 100 lb bags
• Ability to drive fork-lift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
