Victaulic is currently seeking Warehouse employees to work at our Kansas City location.
Job Summary: Responsible for the safe and accurate, picking, packing loading and shipment of all inbound and outbound material.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
Understand and follows all safety guidelines and proper PPE practices.
Pick, pack and load all orders as required
Review all packsets to account for special notes or instructions.
Utilize the Branch Locator system for all transactions.
Receive and inspect incoming material from Victaulic subsidiaries, customers and outside vendors.
Maintain an accurate inventory utilizing cycle count and good inventory management practices.
Housekeeping and maintenance to keep the building and property clean and neat.
Assist “will call” customers as required
Adheres to all established policies, procedures and the code of ethics
Other duties and tasks as assigned by the Distribution Manager or Distribution Center Coordinator.
Qualifications (education, experience, personal attributes)
High School degree required.
A minimum of 3 years prior warehouse experience.
Basic inventory management skills.
Proven ability to do simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Previous forklift experience.
Forklift license for required all specified equipment (must be obtained after employment).
Experience with forklift-mounted computers and bar-code scanners (can be trained on the job)
Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
