Operations Program Manager

Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation (AHMC) who currently manages litter removal programs throughout the country is growing, and we are seeking a Field Operations Project Manager to help us continue to develop new programs to help remove litter and provide public services to improve local communities.

We have been in business for more than 30 years, focusing on finding ways to remove litter, build services and solving social issues like litter on highways and beaches. We are a small company, currently operating in 20+ states and removing litter on behalf of our sponsors. We operate at a fast pace, don’t take ourselves too seriously, but are committed to finding unique solutions to very tough problems. About the Role:

This position is to oversee and direct management of the statewide litter removal project in the state of Washington. The role is remote position that will require travel throughout the state of Washington including Tri-Cities area, Spokane, Seattle, and Vancouver. The position involves working directly with the Project Director, Vice President and Deputy Director of Operations and is essential in developing solutions, information gathering, and overseeing field operations and reporting.

This is a full-time salaried position, that will include travel throughout the state of Washington. The travel aspect of the job can be up to 30% of the time, although most of the travel is planned in advance according to a schedule.

This is a great position for someone looking to build experience managing large projects and developing project management skills and problem solving. This role is remote and gives an opportunity to take ownership of this complex project while still working closely with a team.

The work itself includes:

  • Managed assigned special projects such as litter contracts, operations improvement projects and other projects as assigned
  • Develop relationships with stake holders for special projects which can include internal, external and government contacts
  • Oversee Washington State Litter Contract including traveling to different sections to do field inspections, work review, and project development
  • Travel to include up to 30% of time
  • Manage field supervisors (hiring, coaching, training)
  • Setting work schedules and providing work performance reports for each market you manage
  • Develop and implement improvements to AHMC operations
  • Review and analyze work metrics to find better ways to “do what we do”

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, English or equivalent


Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • 3 years of project management
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written format
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Maps, smart phones, tablets, and apps
  • Previous experience working with ADP, Google Drive and Dropbox preferred
  • Knowledge of local roadways
  • Working on highways, Technology focused a plus

Benefits and Salary Information

  • Salary: Between $60,000 and $70,000 annually
  • 401K with a 75% match for everyday contributed up to 5% of Salary
  • Holiday Chill: Paid time off between Christmas Day and New Years Day
  • PTO: 15 days of PTO to start scaling up to 21 days
