JOB TITLE: WELDER AND INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

Classification: Non-Exempt Full Time Hourly position

Reports to: Production Manager / Production Supervisor

Geismar North America, Inc., a railroad and transit maintenance equipment manufacturer, located here in Beaufort, SC is seeking to hire an experienced Welder / Industrial Production Associate individual who is interested in taking their career to the next level.

As a Welder / Industrial Production Associate with Geismar North America, Inc., you will be given the opportunity to use your welding skills and learn (we’ll provide the training to you) mechanical, electronic. gauge, wire and parts assembly, along with a variety of other manufacturing processes.

Preferred Education & Experience
Welding Certifications (if you have them) or experience if you don’t

The education requirement is school or GED

Work Environment
This job operates in a production manufacturing facility and has daily interaction with other departments such as Engineering, quality and sometimes the customer service and/or Sales team. The work environment is inside in an HVAC controlled space.

Physical Demands
This job requires the individual to climb, lie prone under vehicles, bend, stoop, crawl, stand for periods of time, lift equipment and materials, use a forklift and a jib crane and other hoisting equipment.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is a requirement for overtime as the manufacturing production schedule and customer deliveries require.

Travel
Minimum travel is expected for this position
