Mt. Hope Estate & Winery is accepting candidates to fill a FT wine shop attendant position and/or Key holder position.

Wine Shop Basics - Perform retail tasks such as operating cash registers, maintaining an orderly store and helping customers while keeping the Wine Shop a happy/upbeat environment. Complete general opening and closing procedures, cash register operations, wine and gift inventory monitoring and shipping/receiving of products. Aim to provide customers with a positive shopping experience. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Cash Register Operations – Ringing up the items a customer plans to purchase, accepting payment and making change. The associate will need to verify the age of customers when they are purchasing alcohol. Basic math skills are helpful for this part of the job, as are basic customer service and problem-solving skills.

Stocking – Rearranging items on the display floor or pricing products. May also be tasked with restocking items from the stockroom. If customers decide not to purchase items they are carrying and leave them around the store; it is the job of sales associates to put these items back where they belong. Restocking wine on the store floor (case of wine is 38lbs)

Customer Service – Assist customers on the sales floor. Answer customer questions about products in a knowledgeable manner.

Sampling - Assist customers in sampling wine & cider made by Mt. Hope. Requirements include but are not limited to becoming RAMP certified, becoming knowledgeable of Mt. Hope products and maintaining a positive demeanor when assisting customers in sampling our products while adhering to all laws regarding alcohol.

Cleaning – Assist with keeping the store clean. Tidy and reorganize merchandise. Cleaning/maintaining sampling bar, taking out the trash, sweeping/vacuuming/mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms.

Key Holder - A Key Holder would be trained to open & close the shop which includes but is not limited to: Counting cash drawers, activating/deactivating alarms, contacting customers, working with sales spreadsheets, supervising & delegating wine shop associates.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
