Description of Position:
- The primary responsibility of the Youth Pastor will be the pastoral and administrative leadership of the youth ministries which include Junior High, Senior High, and oversight of children ministries. To carry out this work he will have immediate oversight of all persons and programs which minister to these persons including Sunday School Departments, Youth Groups, Ministry Teams, etc.
- Develop disciples: we want to see the lives of students transformed by Jesus Christ
- Shepherd the students who attend Hillside Chapel
- Mentor volunteer people to lead and teach at weekly and monthly youth events
- Plan and execute a calendar of events that promote growth, build community, and accomplish the goals outlined for the Youth Ministry
- Spend time with students and provide support to them in times of crisis and celebration
- Instruct and mentor youth to become missionally minded with an outreach of the gospel to others
- Lead youth into integration within the context of the full church body
- Provide assistance in the ministry of Parent/Youth discipleship
