The Lehigh County Communications / 911 Center is accepting applications for 9-1-1 Telecommunications Operators. This is a professional position taking 9-11- and other emergency calls for help from the public and dispatching those calls to the appropriate agencies.
REQUIRMENTS
- Schedule: NOT FLEXIBLE - Must be able to work weekends, day shift, middle shift, or night shift as assigned (NO EXCEPTIONS). 9-1-1 Telecommunication Operators work 12 hour shifts.
- Education: G.E.D. or High School Diploma
- Crime check: Criminal background check is required.
- Testing: Must pass a computer test with a score of 85% or higher.
Must pass a hearing and drug test

Certifications:
All training and Certifications are provided in-house. Candidates with current 911 Certifications (CLEAN / NCIC), PowerPhone EMD, LED, FSD and PA State 911 Certification) may be given additional consideration when all other criteria are met.
