EnnisCourt is a privately-owned and operated facility with 50 Skilled Nursing beds and 32 Assisted Living units, including 12 units in a secured, keypad-accessible area specifically designed for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments.

The Accountant directs all financial affairs of EnnisCourt (a HUD-insured/financed facility) using generally accepted accounting principles, including accounting, payroll, business office, purchasing, billing and reimbursement, credit and collections, and other financial matters as directed by the Administrator and in concert with the Certified Public Accountancy firm. The Accountant must hold at least a four-year degree, either in Accounting or in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting; have at least five years of experience, preferably in health care or long-term care accountancy; and knowledge of and proficiency in MicroSoft Excel. Familiarity with Point-Click-Care software and ADP payroll processing interface is preferred.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and produce monthly and year-end financial statements and annual budgets. Present these to the Administrator and assist that office in interpreting and utilizing financial data when requested.
  • Interpret and present EnnisCourt’s accounting policies and procedures to accreditation surveyors, when requested.
  • Create the annual operating budget.
  • Investigate major variances from budgeted expenditures.
  • Prepare financial records for both quarterly and annual submission to authorized government agencies as required by current regulations.
  • Prepare all requested financial budgets and forecasts/projections.
  • Adjust reporting for changes in tax or other laws.
  • Maintain schedules for capital outlay and fixed asset depreciation, working in concert with Certified Public Accountancy firm.
  • Assist Administrator in financial negotiations with outside entities such as lenders, purchasers, suppliers, etc.
  • Establish and maintain accounts receivable reporting.
  • Establish payroll accounting methods, including special accounting functions required by any employee benefit or retirement plans, insurance accounting required by the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, etc.
  • Oversee payroll processing, including time clock variances, overriding system defaults for employees, maintaining individual payroll records, and processing paycheck reductions for items purchased, all through ADP interface. This requires approximately eight hours of work during the weekend following the close-out of each pay period (every two weeks).
  • Administer and maintain records for Health Insurance and 401(k), and counsel employees about their options in these areas.
