Accounting Assistant Job at Memorial Recruiting
Construction company located in Woodinville, WA is currently seeking a full time Accounting Assistant to join our Team. We are now and have been a leader in the Disaster Restoration and Insurance Repair Industry since 1984.
This full-time position will be working Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist AP Manager with posting and payment of bills in accounting software
- Post Daily Cash receipts, reconcile end of day Control Sheet
- Post journal entries to General ledger
- Assists with monthly departmental financial reports, monthly closing and year end reporting
- Prepare and file monthly excise and B&O taxes
- Prepare and file quarterly B&O taxes
- Prepare and file annual city and state business licenses
- Receive, research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning customer and vendor account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
- Maintain digital accounting documents, records and reports.
- Performs other duties as required to support AP, AR, Billing and Collections
- Proficient use of Excel software
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High degree of confidentiality and objectivity
- Ability to meet timelines with reconciling for accuracy
- 2-3 years general ledger accounting experience
- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work independently at times
- 10 key by touch
- Ability to follow up on pending issues
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Customer service
- Quickbooks experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
