ACCOUNTING MANAGER
SUMMARY: Responsible for all accounting activities, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements and reports, cash management, maintenance of accounting system, internal controls. Ensures all financial recordkeeping and reporting is conducted in accordance with GAAP.
SUPERVISOR: Director of Finance
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, supervise and mentor staff.
  • Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts, accounting filing system and controls over all accounting transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely tax filings.
  • Coordinate annual audit activities, providing information to external auditors.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements. Calculate financial ratios.
  • Monitor and control cash flow. Ensure accuracy of AP payments and AR balances
  • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
  • Assist in preparation of annual capital and operating budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide financial analyses as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration. CPA preferred.
  • 2 years of management experience in accounting department.
  • Ability to periodically work evenings or weekends.

  • None.
COMPLIANCE:
This position requires compliance with AxessPointe Community Health Center, Inc. (API)'s written standards, including its Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be an element considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). The employee will occasionally be working near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and exposed to a risk of electrical shock while running the copier, printer, other standard equipment and answering the telephone. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Stress level can be high at times.
