Job Summary:

Selected candidate will read and evaluate admission essays and resumes related to the Pre-Business application for the Undergraduate Business Program from a remote work environment. Through provided remote training, the selected candidate is expected to develop a thorough understanding of the Pre-Business application and expectations with respect to evaluation and admission decision determinations. Using a CRM platform from a remote work environment, the selected candidate will make evaluation notations in a timely and consistent way. The application reader is expected to join full-time staff in early June for admission decision determinations from a remote location or in-person.



Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of duties involving the review, analysis, assessment, and processing of admissions applications in accordance with University guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • 90% Conducts comprehensive application review and selection for assigned programs
  • 10% Participate in training sessions, final decision process for selection of Pre-Business admits, and work collaboratively with the Undergraduate Business Admissions team for process improvements.

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree



Qualifications:

Required (including Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience):

  • At least 1 year of professional experience required in one or more of the following areas: college admissions and recruitment, academic affairs, student services, corporate recruitment, management.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a selective admissions role or other related field preferred.
  • Ability to independently monitor timelines and to initiate tasks to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to work with high levels of accuracy and consistency over time with respect to evaluation.
  • Ability to work with discretion regarding confidential personal data.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to utilize online collaboration tools and evaluate applications via multiple online platforms.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

Work Schedule:

This position is anticipated to start on March 6, 2023

Required participation to a 4-hour training session on a date to be determined between March 6 - 17, 2023
Read applications between March 20 and May 26, 2023
Read applications for approx. 10.5 hours per week
Required participation to an approx. 8-hour final selection meeting in early June 2023 after reading has concluded



Work Type:

It is anticipated this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location.



Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended based on need and/or funding.



Salary:

Minimum $19.00 HOURLY
