Omron Automation - Americas is looking for an energetic and focused Business Development for a remote position located in California, Oregon, Arizona, Washington State or Boston area to manage and grow the sales of all Omron's Advanced Sensing products and related accessories in the territory. The primary goal is to grow sales with new customers and manage the growth with our existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • To conform with U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.

  • Increase Omron sales through a fundamental knowledge of entire portfolio of products and applications including Industrial Components, Automation Technologies and Safety solutions to help customers solve problems.
  • Hit target each month and the annual sales quota for your territory each fiscal year
  • Develop and maintain a territory sales plan that focuses on new target accounts
  • Build and leverage strong customer and partner relationships with existing accounts
  • Profile and penetrate target accounts by developing account profiles
  • Understand customer organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs
  • Master the key features and benefits of the Advanced Sensing products (Vision Systems, Code Readers, Verifiers, RFID, Industrial Cameras, Smart Cameras, and Measurement Sensors).
  • Identify and sell into new and existing applications with these solutions
  • Demonstrate basic operation and key differentiators of our products
  • Effectively utilize sales resources including applications engineers, distribution partners, integrators, and customer service representatives

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's in business Admin, Finance, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or equivalent/greater
  • Seven to ten years of experience in sales of industrial automation or similar products.
  • Seven to ten years of experience managing distributors or distribution channel.
  • Sales experience with some or all of the following products: Machine Vision Systems,Motion Control (Servos, Drives, Controllers and Motors),PLC/HMI (hardware, software and interfaces), Components (Sensors, Relays and Switches), Safety (Light Curtains, Controllers, Sensors and E-Stops) and Auto ID (Barcode and RFID) and Robotics.
  • Code Reading/Vision System sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of Optics preferred, but not required
  • Experience with computers, CRM, e-mail and Microsoft Office programs
  • 25% to 50% of your time spent traveling outside the office In the United States and Canada
  • Fully developed tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, developing, demonstrating, closing)
  • A deemed Export License may be required.

The annual salary range for this role is $95,000 - $135,000 a year,however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program.Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience
