The Nation’s Greatest School Foodservice Program is currently hiring for an Area Manager position for our award-winning Food and Nutrition Services Department.

The award-winning Food and Nutrition Services department serves over 15 Million nutritious meals per year, has 94 state of the art fully-equipped kitchens, and employs 750 staff members.
The Area Manager for Food and Nutrition Services is responsible for the strategic oversight and administration of twenty-three school locations. The Area Manager assists in the shaping of menus and services to meet the needs of students and the administration; develops and implements a vision that accommodates the diverse dining needs of the school district while creating a service culture throughout the foodservice program; maintains productive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administrators; and develops an organizational strategy that facilitates the expansion of the mission of the foodservice program and the school district. Total annual revenue for all schools supervised by the position exceeds $13 Million, with approximately 185 employees. Salary Range $52,946-$79,490
The successful candidate would possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Food Service Management or a similar field of study and a minimum of five years of experience in the management of institutional or commercial food service with a very strong working knowledge of USDA K-12 foodservice regulations. The successful candidate also will have excellent organizational and communication skills; demonstrated leadership in the areas of financials, strategic planning, problem-solving, teamwork and collaboration, workforce planning, employee development, and regulatory compliance; a commitment to quality and integrity; and a demonstrated ability to collaborate and create partnerships. In addition, the successful candidate will possess the ability and willingness to delegate effectively and to hold direct reports accountable; be a strong decision-maker, with transparency in decision-making and management; the ability to make good, consistent, and fair decisions (based on fact and data); and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and to foster teamwork.
