Job Summary
JRK seeks a motivated Asset Management Analyst to join the Multifamily Operations team. The Analyst’s primary function is to collect and prepare market data to produce financial analyses for a portfolio of multifamily assets located throughout the United States. The position is critical in providing Asset Management with financial information vital to the decision-making process. This position is based in our West Los Angeles office and will require minor travel.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $170,000.00 to $180,000.00 per hour plus an annual discretionary bonus

Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop financial and statistical reports, including:
- Comprehensive and summarized reporting packages to help monitor monthly performance in all critical areas, including revenue, expenses, leasing, and occupancy, among other data points
- Provide decision-making support to other departments, including:
- Working on special projects for profit improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs to increase profitability
- Analyzing capital projects to identify potential return on investment
- Assisting in the due diligence process for new acquisitions
- Conduct research into proposed solutions regarding data quality issues
- Provide regulatory reporting support as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write and speak clearly and free of typos or grammatical mistakes
- Treats everyone with respect and dignity, accepts responsibility and takes ownership of tasks, follows through on commitments, takes initiative and maintains confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong financial and mathematical skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to calculate and understand discounted cash flows, net present value, and internal rate of return. A thorough understanding of accounting principles, including comprehending standard accounting reports and statements, is required.
- Familiarity with various software for word processing and spreadsheet preparation. Demonstrated proficiency and precision in Microsoft Excel with the ability and understanding of how to build formulas.
- General knowledge of accounting and financial reporting is needed
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field required and a minimum of 1 year of experience in analytics, preferably in property management, hospitality, or commercial real estate environment
Physical Requirements
- Expected work hours: 7:30 to 5:00, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends
- Travel: Business trips with overnight stays are required up to 15% of the time; occasionally may need to drive a personal vehicle for business
- Work environment and physical demands: General office environment
