Summary
The Assistant Plant Manager supports the range of activities including engineering, employee engagement, inventory, production, hiring, and training in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing plant. This is a great opportunity for someone with management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Plant Manager to support the following:
- Work with sales and project teams to understand customer order commitments and ensure the inventory, production, and delivery timelines align with plant loading.
- Ensure personnel needs are aligned with staffing levels and training schedules.
- Detail production planning and execution monitoring.
- Work with supply chain and materials teams to monitor inventory levels for production schedule needs.
- Work with supervisors and production teams to monitor production schedule, communicate the schedules, adjust the slippages in the schedules, equipment reliability and scheduled maintenance.
- Oversee safety and ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or ten (10) years in a manufacturing environment.
- At least five (5) years of management experience in manufacturing plants.
- Experience in custom manufacturing environment a plus
Must be COVID vaccinated.
