• Participates in new employee on-boarding and orientation process to ensure success of new employees.
• Provides feedback to Production Supervisor during employee performance evaluations.
• Ensures employees are given the opportunity to be successful by providing proper tooling, training, and materials.
• Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

• 100% production floor presence supporting assigned area employees (front line obsession).
• Exhibits the ability to learn and perform all job processes related to the DCC warehouse and responsible to train new employees.
• Actively reviews safety policies and practices within your area(s) of responsibility and sets the expectations and involvement of your team.
• Identifies and implements solutions for improvements in safety, quality, and productivity, by utilizing strong problem-solving skills.
• Exhibits skills for being a strong, team-oriented, employee that can prioritize and perform multiple tasks as required.
• Assists in the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of Workplace Organization (5S) in the respective areas of responsibility.
• Ensure duties are carried out in a respectful presence to all employees, including verbal and/or written communication.
• Exhibits problem solving and troubling shooting skills to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems.
• Reads and understands fabrication and assembly drawings and can synthesize to others.

• Other Ad hoc duties as assigned by manager.

• Experience in a mixed-model manufacturing environment, using lean principles is preferred.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules.
• Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and backgrounds.

Job Qualifications

Required:

• A minimum of 5 years of plant level operations experience in a high-volume / mixed -model production environment is required. Experience serving large customers and understanding how to meet their complex needs is preferred. Previous direct supervisory experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or other related discipline preferred.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Word. The ability to effectively navigate an ERP system is required.
• Must always have the ability to wear all required PPE, safety sensitive position.
• Exhibits strong leadership skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily tasks for large warehouse teams.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner, always keeping in mind respect for others.
• Ability to problem solve and give solutions for line issues with minimal supervision.
• Ability to create an energetic environment for employees.

Preferred:

• In-depth manufacturing process experience.
• Industry related technical training and/or degree.
• Understanding of general safety requirements.
• The application and use of lean principles.
• Professional communication and organization skills.
• Basic understanding of material process flow from raw to finished product.
