Job Description:
Assist and support the development of an infrastructure for a womens basketball recruitment and retention plan directed at solidifying a championship roster of quality student-athletes. Assist with the cultivation of a recruiting plan to support the university's strategic plan as directed by the head coach and recruiting coordinator. The assistant coach has considerable secondary responsibility in successfully developing a championship roster of quality student-athletes that will represent the university in a positive way in the community; at the same time supporting and encouraging a community outreach attitude advancing of the university strategic plan. Assist and support the development of all our student athletes to reach their potential academically, athletically and socially.
Responsibilities Include:
- Evaluate player performance( games and practices)
- Serve as video liaison with our league and other schools, uploading game video on the league server on time as directed by our league.
- Build effective partnerships with co-workers throughout the university
- Assist with planning, organizing and conducting an effective practice
- Video - pre scouts, post game review, individual player video and team teaching clips
- Recruitment of prospective student-athletes; evaluate prospective student-athletes academic and athletic abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Assist with fundraising efforts as directed by head coach
- Proficient in skill development
- Oversee our video/capture of game on game days with help from student managers
- Assist with game day coaching
- Work with various cohorts within university to ensure student-athletes are in good stead with: Academics, compliance ,strength and conditioning and athletic training

Knowledge and Skills Needed:
Bachelors's degree. Two or three years coaching experience at the intercollegiate level or professional level. Potential for developing good organizational skills with a solid sense for developing the infrastructure for an effective recruiting system. Excellent communication skills, and positive motivator. Impeccable integrity with a working knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations.
Additional Information:
Nights and weekends required. Must have fundamental athletic skills to teach and supervise
