The Associate Product Manager – Endo Stapling will be responsible for supporting marketing associated with Medtronic’s Global Endo Stapling portfolio and the $1B Tri-Staple platform, part of the Advanced Surgical Instruments Operating Unit within Medtronic’s Medical Surgical Portfolio. They will act as a liaison between all Global Regions in building and executing the global Endo stapling strategy. These responsibilities will include supporting marketing plans for the Endo stapling portfolio to achieving revenue, profit and market share targets.

The Medical Surgical Portfolio strives to enable earlier diagnosis, better treatment, faster complication-free recovery, and enhanced patient outcomes through less invasive surgical solutions.

This group is based in North Haven, CT but is open to remote within the United States for well qualified candidates.


A Day in the Life
  • Develop strategies and execute marketing plans and programs, both short-and long-term, to ensure the profitable growth and market share of the stapling portfolio.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio including product prioritization and rationalization. Drives product and procedural adoption in collaboration with worldwide markets.
  • Manage new product launches including planning and executing pre-launch demand generation activity; leading logistical, promotional and sales support activity during launch; and driving post-launch tracking and marketing programs to maximize sales.
  • Identify new regional market opportunities and create relevant project proposals. Develop promotional strategies, sales support materials, educational aids, etc. to grow market share to ensure sales excellence.
  • Create and present annual business plans.
  • Plan, organize and attend strategic customer site visits.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Sales teams regarding strategic plan for the specific product area and initiatives, inclusive of launch plans, positioning, and messaging.
  • Provide strategic guidance to areas to establish and maintain effective and valid product line forecasting by assisting with the analysis of historical sales performance data and market research/competitive intelligence.
  • Evaluate and research market trends, competitive activity product improvement and cost savings programs for product line(s) and recommend corrective actions, product enhancements, and opportunities necessary to achieve the marketing objectives.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of marketing, sales, product management, commercial or similar experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
Nice to Have
  • MBA or Advanced Degree
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • 3-5 years successful marketing within the medical device field with experience in strategic product development and planning.
  • Successful commercial launch of a product with sustained market growth preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial analysis and modeling
  • Strong ability to interact with R&D, and other cross functional members, to provide input on product enhancements and new product development.
  • Good clinical and technical acumen to assess product gaps and opportunities

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
