The Automotive Service Training Manager will serve in both a support and leadership role.

As a member of the training department this individual’s goal will be to continuously improve the professional, and personal skill sets of all our employees through their ability to communicate both technical procedures as well as our organizations core competencies.

The Automotive Service Training Manager will specialize in the support and advancement of our service operation through the onboarding and development of service personnel, as well as participation in apprentice programs designed to recruit new technicians and Service Managers.

The Automotive Service Training Manager will work closely with the Regional Service Management Team, and the Human Resource Department, to ensure the members of our service operations receive the fundamental training and skill sets necessary to contribute to organizational goals, and safely serve our customers.

The scope of these responsibilities will include all our current locations, as well as future branch locations, until it is determined that one individual is unable to meet the needs of the role.

Daily Responsibilities

- High volume of effective, personal communication with new employees.

-High volume of effective, personal communication with members of the regional service management team.

-New employee onboarding as needed.

-Effective communication of employee needs to members of their training and development team.

-Scheduling and completion of regular progress reviews and progress data collection.

-Participation in training department meetings, regional service meetings, and HR related meetings.

-Assistance with technician certification registrations.

-Training presentations as needed.

-Oversite of the technician apprentice program and recruitment presentations.

Responsibilities As Needed

-The development of training aids including video recordings, PowerPoints, Brainshark presentations and live presentations.

-Continued improvements to the systems utilized for the early development of Service Managers and Technicians.

-Quick response to material development and implementation of high priority topics, programs, and initiatives. This includes topics outside of service operations if needed.

-Maintaining a positive and symbiotic relationship with manufactures and their available training resources.

-When available, participate in outside development opportunities that can help drive the training department toward constant improvement.

Skills Necessary to be successful in this job:

-Advanced interpersonal skill set.

- Expert level of systems proficiency, including the ability to teach those systems to others. (DMS, CRM, QAPX.)

-Intermediate level of system proficiency, including the ability to teach those systems to others. (Excel, TEAMS, Workday, etc.)

- Outstanding communications skill, including public presentation, verbal, and written.

- Organizational as well as people management skills.

-Empathy, and the ability to counsel others. High Emotional Intelligence

-Ability to work as a member of a team.

- The ability to collect, record and disseminate data.

- This job is dynamic with several daily challenges. The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and execute effective and consistent problem-solving at a pace that is aligned with the situations.

- Service Management or General Management experience is a plus.

-Experience in the automotive or technical training field a plus.

-Experience with multi-media training systems a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
