Job Summary:

The Beer Traffic Controller coordinates order management functions including order entry, purchasing, and expediting materials required for production. This position also manages beer orders and inventory through data entry and coordination efforts with the sales team, distributors, and the warehouse department.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:

• Process purchase and sales orders for wholesale distributors, events, and promotions using SAP program and Excel
• Update and maintain worksheets for allocated beer programs in Excel
• Process changes or revisions to wholesale distributor orders according to department policies and procedures
• Assist Sales Manager and Distributors with inventory management
• Create, maintain, and update wholesale distributor order forms regularly using Excel
• Communicate daily with wholesale distributors and sales representatives via phone and email, answering questions and resolving issues
• Maintain and update various tracking worksheets in Excel
• Assist in managing coordinating inventory from secondary locations
• Analyze rate of sales against supply
• Other duties as assigned

• High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred, and prior work experience in a position that entailed data entry, sales support, and/or customer service
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from sales staff, distributors, co-workers and management
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge focusing on Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
• Strong data entry skills. Ability to use SAP program
• Ability to utilize material requirements planning system (MRP) and ensure that the data is accurate and up to date
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate several activities at the same time
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to evaluate and reassess priorities daily
• Strong organizational skills, flexible and energetic with a keen eye for detail
