SCHOOL BUS DRIVER GERNERAL DESCRIPTION Drives parish school bus to transport students to and from school and for field trips, athletic events or other extra-curricular activities. Drives Parishioners to field trips, Retreats or Conferences. Performs minor maintenance of bus. REPORTS TO: Parish Pastor, Business Manager CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt POSITION TYPE: Part Time SALARY RANGE: Starts $20.00 per hour JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assists students as necessary to enter and leave bus. 2. Loads and unloads baggage, luggage and other scholastic materials. 3. May perform miscellaneous errands such as carrying mail and packages to and from post office. 4. May make overnight drives and extended trips requiring irregular hours. 5. Keeps bus clean and in operating condition. 6. Makes minor repairs or adjustments as needed such as changing tires, checking fluid levels, changing oil, cleaning spark plugs or adjusting carburetor. NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS 1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2. One to three years related experience and/or training driving buses. 3. Colorado Commercial drivers license (CDL) 4. Successful completion of the Parish Safe Environment process 5. Ability to operate a 65-passenger school bus. 6. Skill in handling large groups of children. 7. Must pass Background check. 8.
