Basic Job Functions:

• Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data from primary or secondary data sources
• Work with functional groups to map current and future state
• Understand and document process inputs, outputs and requirements
• Maintain all documentation necessary for project requirements and implementation
• Establish, track and drive key milestones and project delivery schedule
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
• Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
• Structure large data sets to find usable information
• Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT/IS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 3 years of relevant experience
• Intermediate Visio user or familiarity with similar tools
• Experience with data analysis, lookup, and comparison
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to draw insights from data to identify patterns and trends of significance
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Beginner to intermediate user of Power BI a plus
• Ability to work independently while exercising good judgment and discretion
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Ability to learn new tools as needed
