Business Development Representative

Family Owned piping solutions company that is headquartered in Northwest Houston is looking for a Business Development Representative with a strong marketing background.


The Business Development Representative is responsible for establishing new customer relationships; the key contact point for customers & outside sales team; gathers data for market research purposes; works tradeshows, industry association events, and conferences; manages customer contacts using CRM; responding and escalating client concerns; works directly with the customer to ensure a smooth experience throughout the business relationship.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


? Consult with prospective customers to ascertain needs and provide recommendations for product solutions.


? Develop positive relationships with new & existing customers.


? Present, educate and discuss products and value-added services of the company.


? Partner with other sales resources to ensure proper sales coverage.


? Conduct analysis on target accounts to develop new revenue increasing strategies.


? Work all assigned target accounts and document all activity and customer information in designated CRM.


? Establish and maintain continuous communication and consistent follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and strong business relationships.


? Attend and participate in sales meetings, virtual and on-site customer visits, product seminars, trade shows and similar events/activities.


? Coordinate with other sales personnel as appropriate to support sales efforts.


? Collaborate on events/activities with personnel highlighting key opportunities.


Qualifications


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


? Bachelor?s degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration or Marketing, or 5 years of equivalent work experience.


? 2+ years? experience in outside industrial sales, customer service, marketing, and/or account management.


? Experience with tradeshow promoting/presentation.


? Experience in sourcing sales leads through client referrals, on-line research, exhibitions, marketing campaigns, out-bound calling, social media, etc.


? Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
