Cashier/Host Job at Nobu hibachi and sushi
Cashier/Host Responsibilities:
-Greet each guest and facilitate the guest experience by welcoming them in a friendly and professional manner, answering the phone, seating guests, preparing takeout orders, POS stations, handling cash.
Answer calls for group gathering reservations and business information. Using specialized POS accounting software, debit, credit and cash transactions are performed on a computer database, totaling accounting. Restock supplies and keep restaurants clean. Maintain the highest standards of customer satisfaction and restaurant cleanliness. Accepts and organizes bookings and prioritizes bookings to accommodate customers. Utilizes basic calculations and mathematics and maintains electronic registers for all payment transactions including cash and credit cards.
-Escort the guests to their table
-Communicate guest concerns to the manager, as appropriate
-Manages competing demands with patience and grace
-Ensures the guests are acknowledged when leaving the establishment
-Answers the telephone within two rings and using proper telephone etiquette
-Accepts and organizes reservations, and prioritizes reservations to accommodate guests
-Manages the wait list
-Prepares seating assignments prior to service
-Helps fellow team members when appropriate
-Upholds the company's processes and procedures
-Organizes, stocks, and cleans the front area
-Completes any beginning or closing shift duties
