Catering Sales Manager | Hilton BWI | Linthicum, MD Job at PM Hospitality Strategies, Inc.
What You’ll Do:
Hotel events are complex functions. Multiple teams from different departments overlap and collaborate to help pull them off. The Conference Services Manager ensures there’s a smooth collaboration between associates to make sure any events or functions go off without a hitch!
Here are just a couple of the tasks you’ll be doing on a regular basis:
- Communicate with sales, front office and reservations in order to coordinate and monitor guest room blocks and special reservation needs.
- Conduct walking site inspections throughout the property.
- Advise sales staff on client needs. Assist sales staff in promoting the hotel, developing leads and securing re-bookings.
- Plan and conduct pre and post-conference meetings with clients and respective departments.
Where You’ve Been:
You have at least a high school diploma and 2+ years of experience working in hotel sales. Additionally, you have at least 1 years’ experience working in food & beverage. Whether you're interacting with clients or your fellow associates, you’ll be working directly with people all the time. We’re looking for some who can communicate clearly in a positive and professional manner, can perform under pressure, and can assist clients in all their requests (even the more challenging ones)! If this sounds like you, go ahead and apply!
When You’re Here:
Be prepared to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. But wait, there’s a great upside: in exchange for your flexibility, we offer excellent pay, hotel discounts, F&B discounts and the opportunity to be part of an anything-but-standard growing hotel company.
