Central Intake Processor Job at Horace Mann
Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Central Intake Processor is responsible for Policy Issue and Central Intake Scanning. This position is 100% in office at our Addison, TX location.
Essential Functions
- Policy Issue:
- Responsible for verifying the accuracy of the policy print with the application.
- Prints applications for duplicate policies and POS mailings; assemble policies for mailing.
- Understands and processes policies that need special handling (i.e. State specific requirements).
- Maintains cross training within the department.
- Verifies the policy is active prior to mailing.
- Creates daily reports for policy prints.
- Assists with Claims linking as needed.
- Central Intake Scanning:
- Opens incoming mail
- Sorts mail, scans and puts in proper workflow queue.
- Releases jobs from workflow queue to be printed.
- Assist with department requests and special projects as needed.
- Responsible for back scanning as needed.
- Manage files until ready to be purged.
- Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Must possess knowledge of Microsoft office, Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Must have a proactive, positive attitude and is a team player
- Must be able to multitask effectively
- Must be flexible and adapts quickly to change
- Ability to organize tasks and time to ensure timely completion of all projects
