Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with multiple years of experience in managing and handling income tax for multiple businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial records and tax compliance of our clients' businesses, ensuring that all financial reports and tax filings are accurate and timely. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain financial records for multiple businesses, including preparing financial statements, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax returns, and work with clients to minimize their tax liabilities.
- Identify tax planning opportunities for clients and provide guidance on the implementation of tax strategies.
- Respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities and assist clients with tax audits.
- Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to improve their financial performance and profitability.
- Provide guidance to clients on financial and tax-related matters, including new business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic business initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and communicate changes to clients as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on income tax for multiple businesses.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software, including QuickBooks, Lacerte, and ProSeries.
