General Position Overview:

The Claims Manager (CM) is responsible for providing oversight and leadership for the Claims and OS&D process’ for Midwest Refrigerated Transport (MRT) and Midwest Refrigerated Logistics (MRL). The CM is responsible for the reduction of total number and cost mitigation of all OS&D and Claims within MRT & MRL. The CM and their team will need to interact effectively and professionally with both internal and external customers and vendors while providing direction and integration with, from and in line with the MRS corporate leadership vision and values.

General Accountabilities include:

• Employee training, development, supervision & turnover within their team
• Staff planning and hiring
• Employee performance monitoring (KPI) and management
• Formal Claim processing and resolution
• Understanding of and application of Claims principle and law
• Customer Service - interacting with, and obtaining information from customers within MRT and MRL
• Model MRS Values, Vision and responsible for employee alignment with direction of MRS, and MRL
• Reduce and minimize the number of OS&D and Claims through process and analytics mitigating claims costs to industry low ratios
• Responsible for reduction in number of OS&Ds recorded, formal claims numbers, claims to order ratios and annual claims spend
