Job Summary - Classroom Aides needed in Houghton and Baraga Counties for the 2022-2023 School Year:
Classroom Aides for infant/toddler caregivers assist in providing comprehensive child and family development services to children 6 weeks to age 3, on a year-round basis through center-based care. Classroom Aides support effective implementation of curricula and individualization for classrooms with special education students.
Responsibilities and Duties
Understand and strives to achieve the vision, mission, and goals of the Agency.
Builds a common vision with staff that supports the agency mission, philosophy, and objectives.
Supports effective implementation of curricula and individualization.
Promotes and encourages the active involvement of families in all aspects of the program.
Working with parents as partners, supports classroom experiences and activities that include all children and their families and celebrate the differences and similarities of our human lives.
Supports teacher’s efforts to obtain necessary materials to individualize program implementation.
Uses a variety of communication opportunities to share information about the child’s development, progress, health, and medical needs.
Supports parents as their child’s first teacher.
Maintains a commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.
Supports colleagues in professional growth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 18 years of age.
Work as part of a team.
Display effective time management skills.
